10 Things You Must do to prepare for UPSC Civil Services IAS Interview

Here are 10 things you must definitely do to prepare for the interview!

Go through your DAF and based on it, think through as many questions as you can. Do this process over a few days and you will have  a long list of questions to prepare for

Now start actually preparing for  those questions. Research on your hobby, your educational background etc.

Refuse to miss the newspaper any single day. The interview board expects you to have excellent general awareness.

While for some topics, reading the newspaper may suffice, other topics may need additional research. Make a list of such topics and read up more about them.

The interview board may ask for your opinion on many issues. You should prepare to answer such opinion based questions. So think through issues and form logical opinions on the same.

Pick up those books. Revise what you studied in optional as well as educational background.

Participate in discussions with family and friends. This will help you develop a presence of mind and logical thought process.

Work on your body language.

10.  Join a mock interview programme if you can. Sitting in front of an interview board can be a terrifying experience for some. Once you have given an interview a couple of times, you will be less nervous and will be able to give your best!

Do not be mistaken, the UPSC Civl Services IAS interview is not a random interview but can be prepared for! So put in all your effforts and prepare for it as much as you can. You are almost there!
